Profile on Sushila Mertens, Nevada City, CA

Sushila Mertens, MRET, received her first RET training from Dr. Johnson in 1998. She has completed the Master RET (MRET) and Enhanced MRET Trainings and continues to update her skills.

Sushila has developed both left and right brain careers throughout her life. She earned a B.A. and Masters Degree in Education and a Masters in Library and Information Science. As a school and public librarian, she supported her family and mothered two creative children. In her spare time she dove into the metaphysical and javascript:void(0)healing arts. She taught Integral Yoga in the 70’s, received Reiki attunements in the 80’s, and completed massage school and a Catholic Lay Ministry two-year program in the 90’s.Throughout life, Sushila has been driven to understand the workings of the human heart and relationships.

Sushila coordinated and attended interpersonal Human Relations Lab weekends in college, Joyce and Barry Vissell’s Shared Heart relationship workshops, and Nonviolent Communications classes. Sushila experienced a variety of therapies to assist in keeping her balance as a wife, mother, and career woman. She found Rapid Eye Technology and Life Skills to be the most powerful integration of tools to release stress, to clear unproductive patterns of behavior, and to learn new skills for creating the life you want.
